No Such Thing as Pro-War Libertarian

The Skeptical Eye has a great post. In addition to slamming pro-war Wayne Allyn Root, Skeptical Eye says:

Libertarians are militantly antiwar without exception. There is absolutely no such thing as a pro-war "libertarian."

If you've ever met a self-described "libertarian" who supported the invasion of Iraq (cough), guess what? He is just another delusional conservative who does not know the meaning of term.

"Libertarian" of course is just a word, and anyone can use a word. But anyone who is calling himself a "libertarian" while supporting wars of aggression, military intervention or foreign aid is in complete contradiction with the most basic tenets and history of libertarian philosophy.

Hell, even looking up the word "libertarian" in the dictionary is enough to show that a pro-war libertarian is a complete oxymoron if there ever was one.

Look hard enough and you probably be able to find a pro-war "libertarian," just as you may be able to find a pro-life Marxist. What more is there to say? They're freaks.

Bravo!

I think you've got your head up your ass.

Title of the article should have read "No such thing as a Pacifist Libertarian." Or, better yet "No such thing as a Girlie Man Libertarian."

Real Libertarians believe in fighting back against the Islamo-Fascist horde, not bending over and letting them fuck us up the ass like the Girlie Man faux "Libertarians" would just luuuuuuv to have happen to them.

Yupper, we Pro-War Libertarians are just "Conservatives," alright.

We're so Conservative that we support crazy ideas like:

Drug Legalization
Pro-Choice
Legalization of Prostitution
Immediate Repeal of all Seat Belt Laws
Ending any and all Smoking Bans
Swinger's Rights
Abolishing the IRS
and abolishing just about every Government Agency in Existence save the United States Military and Border Patrol.

Yup, we'd sure be welcome at a Mike Huckabee event alright, since we're sooooo "Conservative."

Hey Jerkoff,

Only the Pro-War position, fighting back against Islamo-Fascism is consistent with libertarianism.

Anti-War is entirely inconsistent with libertarianism. It invites Islamo-Fascism to take control of our country and impose Sharia Law.

Sharia Law would allow for the ultimate in intolerance: Stoning of "loose women," outlawing of all Drugs, cutting off the genitals of Gays, and a ban on all Free Speech.

How's that consistent with libertarian objectives of tolerance and live and let live??

Yeah, we Pro-War Libertarians are so "obsure," that Libertarian Republican, the premiere Pro-War Libertarian blog on the web, now regularly gets 1,000 unique visitors a day.

And HotAir.com, run by Pro-Defense libertarian Ed Morrissey is now at the 50,000 a day range.

Other Pro-War Libertarians who've gained popularity recently: Dennis Miller, Neal Boortz, Glen Beck, Michelle Malkin, and Sarah Palin.

Jeez, that's really an "obscure" bunch there.

AMERICANS GETTING ORGANIZED!

A majority of Americans agreed with President Obama in 2008, that the interests of the community are more important than are the interests of the individual. As a result, a new union organizing movement has begun, creating the Community Voters Union (CVU).
Using the popular Card Check Program, community organizers forming the CVU will bring voters into a union, simplifying their community life. When 1% of people in a region sign the CVU card checks given them at shopping malls, places of employment as well as door-to-door, the CVU will officially form. They will be responsible for voting the interests of the community. Voters need never go to the polls again. Union leaders voting the community’s interests block big-money right wing attempts to sway voters. Dues from each voter will pay the costs of this welcomed voter service. The Community Union Councils gather periodically to decide who will hold elected offices as well as new legislation and enforcement procedures. The voters in community will never again have to worry about making those choices. The President encourages voters to take advantage of the CVU so the voting process is more orderly and predictable. Because of his enormous popularity, people are rushing to obtain voting cards to sign up. CVU will usher into American Politics a glorious new day of certainty and peace in voting. Right-wing extremist critics claim the first card checks will have only names from the graveyards to establish CVU supremacy. They claim CVU is patterned after the USSR soviets, regional community voting blocs that transmit community interests to one central presidium or parliament. They are partially correct, in that the American Congress will be changed to a parliament and the Constitution set aside as a historical document only. However, only community interests are important, which assigns to the CVU the control over what was once called “private property” and bank accounts in each of the regions they control. This will assure Americans that the wealth will be spread around, as the President was so well credited in his campaign. There will no longer be term limits assigned to the office of President, only that he receives a periodic vote of confidence from the CVU. Succession falls to the choice of the President when the need arises. This, most Americans agree, is how an orderly government works. For thousands of years, orderly government rested with a sovereign, a chief of state, where family members were trained to take the reins when the need arose, so we can look to having one of Obama’s daughters rise to that leadership position. (Is this really an absurdity? claysamerica.com)

Hey Dumbdero,

To be pro-war is to be pro-state, which makes you NOT a libertarian. Get it? You sick pro-war-criminal troll.
